Documentation

Pick an embed type above, copy the code, and paste it where the reviews should appear. The snippet loads data from this server, so it works on any third-party site — no API key needed. Only approved reviews for the selected site are shown.

Embed types

  • IFrame — chromeless widget page (no site nav), auto-resizes to content via the included listener script, never clashes with your CSS.
  • JS Widget (widget.js) — review list rendered inline, inherits your page font.
  • JS Badge (badge.js) — average rating + review count. One cheap cached request.
  • JS Carousel (carousel.js) — rotating reviews, pauses when offscreen.

Script attributes (JS embeds)

  • data-site-id (required) — exact site name, e.g. Apex Fairings. Must match a site with approved reviews.
  • data-max-reviews — 1–20, defaults 3 (widget) / 10 (carousel).
  • data-theme — light (default) or dark.
  • data-show-images — true to show review photos (default off).
  • data-show-ratings — default on; set false to hide stars.
  • data-target — container element id (default kp-reviews-widget / kp-reviews-badge / kp-reviews-carousel). Set it to place multiple embeds on one page.
  • data-autoplay / data-interval (carousel only) — rotation on/off and delay in ms (min 2000).

Public API

  • GET /api/reviews?site=<name>&limit=<n> — paged approved reviews (limit max 50; also page, rating, minRating, maxRating, verified, search, tags, sortBy, sortOrder).
  • GET /api/reviews/stats?site=<name> — { totalReviews, averageRating } aggregate for badges.
  • GET /api/reviews/sites — list of sites with approved reviews.
